Nursing thoughts
(Juliet is thinking to herself after sending the Nurse to talk to Romeo)
Where is the Nurse, I sent her more than three hours ago? She was supposed to be home thirty minutes after, not three hours. What if she isn't coming home? What if a truck rammed into her and she died? Knowing her and her body, I doubt she could have gotten out of the way. What if she's lying there on the street without anyone to help her? What is she's already dead!? My GOD! I shouldn't have sent her at all. Or worse, what if she heard bad news from Romeo? What if she's out wondering how to tell me? What about if she's commited suicide because she doesn't want to be the bearer of sad news?! OH MY GOSH!!! Ok, calm down, Juliet. Think carefully and safely. Maybe she just can't find him. Maybe she just needed to do something else. But what more important than doing the work of her mistresses? Oh I wish she would just COME HOME ALREADY!!!! What would Romeo say if she doesn't go on time? What if he thinks I am worthless? Why wouldn't he? It's hard enough trying to see the enemy's daughter, why would he want to marry me? GEE! I'm going CRAZY with worry already. I wish the Nurse would just COME HOME and tell me what my love says. Will it be good? Will it be bad? Cross your fingers and think positive, Juliet. Remember, Positive!
